Julia Erway

Hi there! I’m Julia Erway. I began Suzuki violin at the age of five, and continued in the method until high school when I began competing with major repertoire. In high school I served as section leader/concertmaster for Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. I was also blessed with the opportunity to solo with multiple symphonies including Meridian Symphony Orchestra.

Teaching is my passion, and I have over six years experience teaching in various settings, including English second language students, Violin, and Krav Maga (An Israeli self defense system). For six years, I worked as head kids instructor for one of the largest martial art schools in the state.

Summer of 2022 I spent much of my time traveling to intensive Suzuki teacher training.
I completed multiple certifications awarded by some of the most renowned Suzuki teachers in the world, and took advantage of countless observation hours of master teachers . Beyond the musicianship skills I teach, my goal is to help students achieve a sense of accomplishment, perseverance, responsibility, and above all a love for music.
