Dr. Judy Wu, a native of Taiwan based in Houston, Texas, continues to expand her music horizon in the areas of performing and teaching. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music in Cello performance from the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from National Taiwan Normal University. While at UT Austin, she studied with the renowned pedagogue, Phyllis Young, and taught as a Teaching Assistant in the String Department and String Project. She was the winner of the 2nd Annual WRR Chamber Music Competition in 2005 and also received several outstanding recognitions from the Fischoff national Chamber Music Competition. She has accumulated over 20 years of teaching experience and organizing summer music camps such as Little Bach Music Camp, String Camp, and All-State Music camp. She has recorded more than 10 albums with New Heart Music Ministries as cellist since year 2006 and currently serves as School Director of New Heart Christian School of Music.
