I majored in elementary education in college with a minor in music, but decided I enjoyed teaching music best. I took my first Suzuki training in 1997 and have since completed training through book 6. I taught Suzuki Guitar for 12 years in Collegeville, PA where I served as membership chairman for the Greater Philadelphia Suzuki Association and president of the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society. I now teach in Port St. Lucie, Florida where I teach students of all ages and also teach classical ukulele. My Suzuki guitar students and I attend the spring workshop of the South Florida Suzuki Association each spring, with nationally known Suzuki guitar teachers.

In Florida, I founded the Treasure Coast Classical Guitar Society (www.tccgs.org) and served as president for 2 1/2 years. Besides classical guitar, I also have an interest in folk music and lead a monthly folk music jam and sing along at Savannas Preserve State Park. I perform at local art shows and other local venues and I am part of the music ministry at St. Bernadette’s Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Past musical collaborations include Amarylis, flute and guitar duo, in Pennsylvania, the Joette Strings Duo, that played ambient music in Florida, and the Morning Glory folk duo.
