I hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. I have trained in the Suzuki Talent Education Violin Method (violin books 1-4), which requires an audition as well as many hours of classes, observations and written work. I am qualified to teach Suzuki violin and viola, but prefer to teach only violin.

I’ve been married 13 years and have 2 boys and a girl. My husband plays the bagpipes and enjoys cycling. My sons (ages 10 and 6) enjoy video games and playing in the pool. Our daughter (3) attends a school that specializes in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) for children on the autism spectrum. Aside from music and my family, I enjoy books, photography and watching HGTV.

I like to play games and teach my students how to practice, so they know what they are supposed to do every day and they have fun doing it. I teach all kinds of music: Suzuki pieces; fiddling; gypsy; folk; classical; baroque; romantic; movie music. I encourage my students to practice 6-7 days each week. Students have the option of participating in about 4 recitals each year, most of which are out in the community.

My fee is monthly.

I travel to my students’ homes in Sacramento, Natomas, West Sacramento, North Highlands, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, Roseville and Rocklin. I am willing to travel 20 miles from my home, as my schedule allows. I also teach from my home.
