I hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. I have trained in the Suzuki Talent Education Violin Method (violin books 1-4), which requires an audition as well as many hours of classes, observations and written work. I am qualified to teach Suzuki violin and viola, but prefer to teach only violin.

I’ve been married 15 years and have 2 boys and a girl. My husband plays the bagpipes and enjoys cycling. My sons (ages 13 and 9) enjoy video games and spending time with friends. Our daughter (5) is on the autism spectrum. Aside from music and spending time with my family, I enjoy reading, photography and watching HGTV.

I like to play games and teach my students how to practice, so they will know what they are supposed to do every day and have fun doing it. I teach all kinds of music: Suzuki pieces; fiddling; gypsy; folk; classical; baroque; romantic; movie music. I encourage my students to practice 6-7 days each week. Students have the option of participating in about 4 recitals each year, most of which are out in the community.

My fee is monthly, payable via Venmo, PayPal, cash or check.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I currently teach virtually using Zoom, Google Duo, or regular phone call using speaker (no video).

When the pandemic is under control,
I may resume traveling to my students’ homes in Sacramento, Natomas, West Sacramento, North Highlands, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, Roseville and Rocklin. I am willing to travel 20 miles from my home, as my schedule allows.

When the pandemic is under control,
I may resume teaching from my home as well.

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in or have questions about lessons/classes for you or your child, and please visit my website for additional information: www.jenzuki.weebly.com

I have been teaching the Suzuki Talent Violin Education Method since 2007.
