Jenna O’Connor Ross is an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to excellence. Her goal is to develop autonomous learners with good violin technique. Her teaching approach centers around playing with ease and with a beautiful tone. Mrs. O’Connor Ross creatively engages younger students to learn through motivating games and musical activities. She has also taught many adults. It is never too late to learn.
Prior to moving to Austin, Mrs. O’Connor Ross taught violin at the Vancouver Academy of Music and at École Rose-des-Vents in Vancouver, BC. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from The University of Western Ontario, Canada and a Master’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis on Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
Mrs. O’Connor Ross is a certified Suzuki teacher (ECE through Suzuki Book 10) and is committed to life-long professional development. Her experience includes being an adjudicator for music Festivals and giving clinics in both Canada and in the US.
