Jeanne Fox has been teaching cello since 1980, and is currently accepting cello students from ages 6 up through adult in the Mid-Hudson/Tri-State/New York City regions.  She teaches privately as well as at the SUNY Dutchess Campus in Poughkeepsie (both credit, and non credit students). She teaches cello for all ages and levels, coaches chamber music and leads masterclasses. Jeanne is an active performer—currently principal cello with the Hudson Opera Theater Orchestra, and is a regular sub player with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, and was previously principal cello with the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra. She founded the Hudson Valley String Quartet which actively performs in the tri-state area. She has a Bachelor of Music from Manhattan School of Music, and a Master of Music from The Juilliard School (Ardyth Alton, Juilliard String Quartet).
