Jason Hochman

Jason has students who have performed at Carnegie Hall and have been accepted to special music programs throughout NYC.  Jason and his wife Elysa are the founders of New York Guitar Academy. Jason teaches classical, flamenco, spanish, rock, lead and blues guitar at New York Guitar Academy. He is a top performing Classical and Flamenco guitarist in New York City. His family band “Quarantined Quartet” that features his two sons (Joseph 11, Noah 9) has been on Good Morning America, Kelly Clarkson show, Inside Edition and various media outlets. He began his studies in rock and blues at the age of 12. He began performing live, in bands at the age of 14. He started bands and joined established groups in the flamenco, funk, reggae, afrobeat, blues, rock and hardcore metal genres. Jason currently studies under virtuoso guitarist Grisha Goryachev and his father, a master guitar instructor Dmitry Goryachev since 2011. Jason studied flamenco guitar in Andalucía Spain under Jose Luis Balao.
