Ms. Jackie Luce has Master of Music degree in violin performance and String Pedagogy from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Music Degree in violin and vocal performance. She served on the faculty AS Suzuki String Specialist of the University of Montana, Centenary College, Steven F. Austin University, Collin College and Plano ISD and is the Music Director of the Texas Music and Dance Academy (TexasMusicAndDance.org.) She is a member of the SAA and its affiliate NTSA. Jackie has performed professionally as a solo and chamber violinist, violist and soprano in concert series and with symphonies in the Midwest, Montana, Louisiana and Texas. In her 30+ years of teaching studio violin and piano her students have consistently rated 1+ in festivals and achieved placement as honors orchestra, youth symphony and school orchestra concertmasters. Jackie has served as adjudicator and clinician for competitions, festivals, institutes, workshops and school orchestras in the Mid-West, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. She loves to collaborate with fellow teaching colleagues in organizing educational and community-building events for the students and their families. She is married to Jim, a violinist, and they are piano, violin and cello parents of two grown children.
