Classical guitarist Irina Yanovskaya has gained extensive experience over the last 40 years teaching guitar. After receiving her Master’s in Music with an emphasis on Pedagogy, Guitar Performance, and Orchestral Conducting in her native Ukraine, Irina began teaching guitar in prominent music schools in Kyiv. Since moving to Milwaukee in 1996, she taught private lessons to children of all ages. She is a certified Suzuki instructor, registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Irina continues to be an active performer and member of the “Serenata” duo with a mandolin virtuoso Misha Litvin. Her passion and love for classical guitar along with refined teaching skills ensures a positive learning experience for her students. Irina is a member of the faculty of Suzuki and Pre-College guitar department of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
Irina is currently accepting students from age 4 and older.
Irina Yanovskaya is a co-founder of the Milwaukee Classical Guitar Society.
She is a director of the Milwaukee Classical Guitar Society Orchestra.
