After ranking first at the entrance exams at the Academy of Arts in Albania and being one of the ten best students in the country, Ida Findiku decided to come to America to follow her childhood dream and continue her music education. She finished her undergraduate studies at the Western Michigan University studying with Renata Knifik from the Merling Trio. During her undergraduate studies, she was granted a scholarship to work with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and played with them, as well as other community orchestras, for four years.

Ms. Findiku was rewarded a full ride and assistantship to pursue her master degree at the University of Denver where she worked with the world known soloist Linda Wang. While finishing her Performance Certificate at DU Ms. Findiku won the 2012 Lamont Chamber Music Competition. She received another full ride to continue her Orchestral Studies Certificate with the talented Colorado Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Yumi Hwang-Williams. Currently she is continuing her studies at the University of Colorado in Boulder pursuing a Doctorate in Violin Performance.

Ida Findiku is a certified Suzuki teacher and has her own private studio in Denver, where she resides. Her students vary drastically in age and level. Ms. Findiku performs with the community orchestras and is an active chamber music player. Her long-term goal is to teach professionally at a college level.
