Ms. Helen Jacob-Stein

I have loved playing violin since 1961, and teaching children, teens and adults through Suzuki method since 1985. I have had a full-time symphony orchestra position (Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra 1983-87), have freelanced throughout the Toronto, southern Ontario and London (UK) area, and played my own solo recitals. To nourish my own playing, I play string, and piano chamber music, including string quartets, piano trios, especially enjoying the great literature of the classical and romantic periods. My current employment, since 1989: Suzuki violin teacher at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where I head and co-ordinate the Suzuki Program.
