Heidi Brooks began studying piano at age six with Dr. Michael Campbell via the Suzuki Piano Method. By age 13, Heidi began piano study with Dr. Tammie Walker of Western Illinois University. During her study with Dr. Walker, Heidi gave her first solo piano recital at age 16 at W.I.U.’s COFAC recital hall. In 2008 she earned a B.M. in Piano Performance from W.I.U.

Heidi continued her piano education in 2009 studying briefly with Stefan Kutrzeba in Rzeszow, Poland. Kutrzeba’s revolutionary teachings on the Chopin Method have highly influenced Heidi’s work as a pianist and she now seeks to incorporate his ideas with the Suzuki Piano Method.

Heidi worked as accompanist for Rami Solomonow’s viola studio at DePaul University in Chicago from 2008 to 2009 and more recently accompanied at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois from 2014 to 2017. Currently she is a stay at home mother to her four children and organist at St. George’s Anglican Church.

Since 2007, Heidi has built vibrant piano studios in the various places she’s lived. Heidi has taught successful students in Bloomington, Macomb, Lincoln, Chicago and the Chicagoland area. Currently Heidi is building a new Suzuki Piano School in Macomb, Illinois.
