Hannah Frey lives in St. Louis where she is an active performer and teacher. Currently she has a large private studio in St Louis, teaches in the Elementary Strings Program at Kirkwood District Schools, and is on the faculty at Washington University of St Louis. She is also an active chamber and orchestral musician. She is first violinist of the Perseid Quartet, plays regularly with the Union Avenue Opera Orchestra, with visiting shows at the Fox Theatre, and with a local band, Third Millennium World’s Fair. She has performed or collaborated with many other groups in the area including the St Louis Symphony, the MUNY Orchestra, and the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis. Hannah received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music with Linda Cerone and William Preucil. She has taken Suzuki Teacher Training with Rudy Hazucha, Carol Smith, Vera McCoy-Sulentic, and Susan Kempter and has attended Indiana University’s Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers with Mimi Zweig.
