Hannah Doucette Atkins received her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from The Hartt School (summa cum laude) and Master of Music degree from Temple University. Her teachers have included William dePasquale, Emlyn Ngai, Robert dePasquale, and Mickey Reisman. Hannah received training in books 1-8 in the Suzuki Method and studied with such trainers as Teri Einfeldt, Kimberly Meier-Sims, and Doris Preucil. She has helped to build Suzuki programs and was recently quoted on the method in Strings Magazine. In addition, Hannah has received level 1 training in the Kodaly Method with Micheal Houlahan and Philip Tacka.

Ms. Doucette Atkins teaches violin at Ambler Music Academy and is the Private Music Lesson Coordinator, Violin/Viola Instructor, and Lower School Orchestra Director at Germantown Academy. She also enjoys working with the Philadelphia Region Youth String Music ensembles as a strings coach. In addition to teaching, Hannah is a professional violinist who performs in the Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley areas and has performed in chamber groups and orchestras throughout the East Coast and Peru. Prior to GA, she was on the adjunct faculties of Moravian College, Temple University, and Ursinus College.

Hannah believes in providing quality instruction while encouraging a love for music. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and the outdoors with her husband, Chris.
