Haley Barton is a freelance violinist and violin teacher from Amarillo, TX. She is dedicated to helping the world become a better place through music, specifically through the education of children. Barton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from West Texas A&M University, where she studied with Dr. Rossitza Jekova-Goza. She has played in masterclasses for Simon Fischer, Charles Castleman, Annie Boyle, and Kirsten Yon. Barton served as the concertmaster for the WTAMU Symphony during the 2017-2018 season, and she was a violin section member of the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra for 3 years. As a teacher, Barton served the Amarillo public schools for 2 years and the Amarillo Youth Orchestra programs for 4 years before moving to Boulder, Colorado. Barton participates in as many educational opportunities she can find, and is dedicated to continuing her training in the Suzuki Method.
