Gudrun Noe grew up in Germany where for many years she pursued a comprehensive classical music education specializing in violin. Although she ultimately chose a career in science, Dr. Noe continued to hone her violin skills performing with numerous orchestras throughout her life. After moving to the United States, she suspended her scientific pursuits to refocus her energies around music. For a considerable time she played in the La Jolla Symphony (San Diego) and since recently relocating to Los Angeles has become a member of the Orchestra of Santa Monica. While living in San Diego, she became interested in the Suzuki method and philosophy which eventually led her to complete Suzuki teacher training for Violin Book 1 and 2. She now teaches beginner students in her private home in the Marina Del Rey area.
