I’m Grace, and I am usually seen wearing a plastic sprout clip. I am currently the concertmaster of the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra, studying violin performance under Ron Patterson. Along with the violin, I play piano, cello, and viola, and have had the opportunity to learn harp and flute! I love using music to give back to my community, whether that is playing in retirement homes or organizing performance opportunities in UW. The Suzuki pedagogy method has greatly impacted my life as I’ve had the privilege of taking lessons under many teachers who embraced this approach.
As for non-music activities, I’m trying to improve in rock climbing, learn Indonesian, apply to the Foster School of Business at UW, and obtain a cat within the next few years :)
