Gillian Kuroiwa

Hi, I’m Gill! I’ve been playing the cello for over 20 years and teaching for more than a dozen. I hold degrees in Cello Performance from the University of Denver (B.M.) and Arizona State University (M.M) and am in the process of completing all 10 Suzuki training units.

I recently moved to Colorado from Phoenix, Arizona where I was an active teacher and performer. I have performed throughout Arizona with The Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera, West Valley Symphony, and Tucson Repertory Orchestra, with whom I toured Japan for a series of concerts in 2015.

I teach lessons at West Denver Suzuki Strings in Wheat Ridge where we have a nurturing, supportive community of Suzuki students, teachers and families. With access to group classes, chamber ensembles, camps and more, WDSS is a thriving Suzuki environment to start or continue a musical journey.
