Gentry Bundlie is a Violin and Viola teacher in Placer County. As well as being an active performer she is a member member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and a registered Suzuki teacher for Viola and Violin.

Gentry graduated with her Masters of Music in Viola Performance from the University of California at Santa Barbara where she studied with Helen Callus. During her time there, she participated in masterclasses with Philip Setzer from the Emerson String Quartet and Hank Dutt from the Kronos Quartet and graduated with the Martin Kamen Fellowship award for Outstanding String Graduate. Gentry was a founding member of the Mission Creek Trio, classical musicians performing celtic variations. Among their many performances, the Trio performed original music for the Nebula Dance Lab entitled ‘The Inquisitor’. She was also a fiddler in the Adam Phillips Band performing at events such as the Los Olivos Wine Fest and Solvang Wine Festival. Gentry’s love of celtic music has also included solo opening performances for the Celtic Music Group ‘Wicked Tinkers’ in the Pacific Northwest.
Gentry’s classical training also includes a Bachelors of Music in Viola Performance from Western Washington University where she studied with Eric Kean. She was a member of the Scholarship String Quartet and graduated with honors as the Outstanding Music Graduate.
She believes a good grounding in proper technique is essential and makes learning easier which all leads to more enjoyment and fun while playing your instrument!
