Originally from Mexico City, Eugenia Ramírez is a very well renowned singer specialized in
chamber music (early, baroque and contemporary).

She began to study music and classic ballet as a child.
She studied at the UNAM´s Music Faculty with major in Recorder obtaining the “Gabino Barreda” award for highest grades among her generation and Voice with professor Santiago Aguirre.

She has been part of several ensambles, some of which she has leaded. Whith those and
as a soloist she has participated in the main festivals in Mexico, an also abroad: Festival Internacional Cervantino, Festival de la Ciudad de México, RADAR, Chicago Fine Arts Festival, Sarrebourg Early Music Festival, Early Music Festival in Aranjuez, etc.

She is a regular soloist guest of the Orchestra of New Spain in Dallas.

Mrs. Ramírez has sung as a soloist in Mexico with the main orchestras: OFUNAM, ‘Bellas Artes’ Chamber Music Orchestra, ‘Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de Mexico’ , ‘Orquesta Sinfónica Carlos Chávez’ , etc.

For the last 15 years, she has taught Voice, Vocal Ensambles and Chamber Music at the “Escuela de Música Vida y Movimiento” (Ollin Yoliztli) and also taught Voice as a private teacher.

For 20 years she was also a Ballet teacher at the “Academia de Ballet de Coyoacán”. There, she participated in the elaboration of the “Sistema Mexicano de la Danza como complemento de la educación”.
