I recently graduated from the Strings and Orchestra Program at the California School of the Arts where I served as concertmaster and received the National School Orchestra Award. Besides playing the violin, I am also a pianist, artist and dancer. I speak three languages, English, Mandarin and Japanese. I will be attending the CSU this year and majoring in Music Education.

Music has always been a big part of my life growing up. From the young age of 2, I participated in the Kindermusik program and took several Orff Young Musicians’ classes. I started my piano lessons at 4, and a year later I joined Suzuki Talent Education in Pasadena and studied violin with Liz Arbus. I was actively involved with all the Suzuki activities throughout my elementary years. I also have studied with the Concertmaster of the Pasadena Symphony Aimee Kreston, and Mr. Fung Ho who is the Music Director of Cal State L.A. I passed the California Certificate of Merit violin evaluation at the advanced level, as well as the CM piano evaluation Level 8 with 5+ perfect scores.

I am a frequent performer, whether it’s a theatrical/dance production or violin/piano performance. In the past 15 years, I had performed at venues like studio recitals, branch honors recitals, MTAC state conventions, festivals, auditions, competitions, charity, church events, and convalescent homes. I also enjoyed performing collaboratively with other musicians. My chamber music experience includes performing as a member of the string quartet at Colburn School, Pasadena Conservatory of Music, Suzuki Summer Institute, BYU Young Musicians’ Summer Festival, and Lyceum Music Festival among others.
