I am a senior at the California School of the Arts in San Gabriel Valley, Strings and Orchestra Program where I served as concertmaster and received the National School Orchestra Award. Besides playing the violin, I am also a pianist, dancer and artist.  I am multilingual, speaking English, Mandarin and Japanese. Starting in the fall 2019, I will be studying violin at Southern Utah University.

Being a child of a music teacher, I started taking the Kindermusik class at age 2; and have been playing two instruments since age 4. I studied the piano with my own mother; and for violin which has been my main instrument, I was fortunate to be able to study with some of the most outstanding teachers. Under their instruction, I passed the California Certificate of Merit Piano Level 8 Evaluation with a perfect score (5+), and the Violin Advanced Level with honors, and have been invited to perform at the Honors Recitals as well as the State Convention Recitals many times.

Throughout my elementary years, I was actively involved with the Suzuki Program. My first violin teacher was Ms. Liz Arbus, who is the founder of the Suzuki Talent Education Program in Pasadena, CA. I’d also studied with Ms. Aimee Kreston, the concertmaster of the Pasadena Symphony; and Mr. Fung Ho, the music director of Cal State L.A. My chamber music experience includes performing as a member of the string quartet at Colburn School, Pasadena Conservatory of Music, BYU Young Musicians’ Summer Festival, and Lyceum Music Festival among others.
