A dedicated and passionate music educator Emma Piedilato has half a decade of experience teaching a wide range of students from ages 3 to 60+. Her pedagogical approach weaves academia, meaningful connections, and creative solutions into her teaching and music making, tailoring her approach to students’ individual needs.

She currently teaches orchestra at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School where she brings her intrinsic love for music to her students. She is an active member of NJMEA, most recently serving as the Region Intermediate Symphony Orchestra manager. Emma is a current member of the New Jersey Intergenerational Symphony Orchestra in Summit, NJ under the baton of Warren Cohen. She has an established private woodwind teaching studio, having taught both oboe and bassoon in Central Jersey. She founded a music education blog, where she combines her education experience with her zeal for making music theory engaging and accessible.

Emma has performed at the British Isles Music Festival in Godalming, UK, and played in masterclasses for Bart Feller, Valerie Coleman, Mindy Kaufman, Amy Porter and Brandon George. She earned her M.M. in Flute Performance from Montclair State University, and B.M. in Music Education at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts.
