Ms. Emily Constantinou
Emily Constantinou has a BA in Violin Performance: Jazz Studies from Columbia College Chicago. While studying at Columbia, she had the opportunity to play a variety of musical styles including classical, jazz, country and rock. This experience, along with Suzuki training, greatly shaped her teaching techniques. Emily strives to implement composition and creativity in addition to Suzuki methods to help her students reach their full musical potential.
Emily Constantinou has been teaching the violin for eight years. Her students range from ages four-adult. She currently Music for Youth in Arlington Heights; an in-school Suzuki based program. Her duties at Music for Youth include teaching private and group lessons, and conducting the Reading Orchestra.
Emily also started her own business called “Mini Maestros LLC”. Mini Maestros provides in-school violin lessons to local schools. Mini Maestros has also partnered with a local music studio, ACM and offers group parent/child music classes for children ages 0-3 yrs. Emily strives to instill a love of music and self-accomplishment to all her students.
As a performer, Emily works as a freelance violinist. She frequently performs in the Chicago area for weddings and parties and also works with local bands and writes and performs her own string parts. She is the founder of Acoustic Memories which provides music for special events. She also a member of Lakeview Symphony Orchestra.
