Emily has been teaching privately for 12 years in San Diego and Orange County. She currently holds a Bachelors of Music and a Masters of Music in Cello Performance from CSU Fullerton where she studied under the tutelage of Bongshin Ko.

Her private studio, EMB Music Studio is located in Rancho Penasquitos. Additionally, she serves as the cello faculty for the San Diego Suzuki School of Music where her students participate in the Suzuki program (group classes, recitals and events).

Besides her Suzuki training, Emily has taken Dalcroze training thru the Kaufman Center in NYC and Music Mind Games, Unit 1 training with the creator Michiko Yurko.

​Beyond her passion for teaching cello, she is an avid performer, and has performed solo, orchestral and chamber music in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Luxembourg, South Korea and New York City in addition to Southern California venues. In 2015, Emily made her Carnegie Hall Debut with the CSUF Chamber Orchestra and Choir. Additionally she has had the opportunity to play in the masterclasses of Misha Maiksy, Clive Greensmith, Richard Aaron, and the Kronos Quartet. She currently serves as Principal Cellist for Synesthesia Sinfonietta.
