Emily has been teaching privately for 11 years in San Diego and Orange County. She enjoys teaching students of all ages about music and watching her students grow as musicians and human beings. She is known to have extreme patience yet demands quality in her students. Her students earn top chairs in school and youth orchestras.  They have opportunities to participate in recitals, competitions and chamber music.

Former teachers include Ruslan Biryukov, Nathaniel Rosen, Daniel Rothmuller, Laszlo Mezo, Bing Yan and Lu-Yan Guo. She has performed in the master classes of Jeffrey Solow, Mischa Maiksy, Vagrim Sarajian, Ovideu Marinesciu, Clive Greenwich, Richard Aaron, Phillip Levy, Thomas Loewenheim and Alexander Rudin.

An avid performer, she has performed solo, orchestral and chamber music in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Luxembourg, South Korea and New York City in addition to Southern California venues. In November 2015, Emily made her Carnegie Hall Debut with the CSUF Chamber Orchestra and Choir.

Emily is dedicated to continued education and training. She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Music at CSU Fullerton in cello performance under the tutelage of Bongshin Ko. Besides her Suzuki training, Emily has taken Dalcroze training thru the Kaufman Center in NYC and Music Mind Games, Unit 1 training with the creator Michiko Yurko.

Emily is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California and the Suzuki Music Association of California.
