Ellie Glorioso is an American cellist based in Cleveland, Ohio. As a fully registered Suzuki cello teacher with over 10 years teaching experience, Ellie imparts their knowledge and love of music to their students while teaching them to be good global citizens and pursue excellence in all areas of life. Ellie has served on the faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music, The Music Settlement, and Notre Dame College . In 2022 they started The Cello Collective, a private Suzuki studio which draws students from all around greater Cleveland.

Ellie is passionate about providing music education not just at home, but all over the world. As a proud founding member of the Cleveland Music Exchange, they helped develop an organization that connects skilled teachers with developing global music communities. From 2017 to 2019 they traveled with CME to Harare, Zimbabwe and Chihuahua, Mexico working with a team of musicians to provide lessons, workshops, and concerts that helped raise funds for local music teachers to receive Suzuki certification.

Ellie is also an active chamber and orchestral musician performing with ensembles such as Cleveland Opera Theatre and the Akron Symphony Orchestra. In May 2023 they performed the Ohio debut of Anna Clyne’s concerto for cello and orchestra, DANCE.

Ellie holds a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Butler University and a Master of Music in Cello Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music. They have taken masterclasses with Juilliard String Quartet, Cavani String Quartet, Jaime Laredo, East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO), Brooklyn Rider, and Zuill Bailey. At CIM, they studied under Grammy Award winning cellist and member of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson trio, Sharon Robinson.
