Elissa Krebs holds a Masters degree from the University of Utah in Violin Performance and a Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in Music Education. She has studied with Hasse Borup, Shi-Hwa Wang, Lois Stout, and Javier Pinell. Elissa is a former Interlochen Emerson Scholar, Texas Music Festival Fellow, and has performed throughout North America, Europe, and China. She has played under such notable conductors as Thomas Wilkins, Marek Pijarowski, Jung Ho Pak, and Gerard Schwarz, and in master class with with Haik Kazazyan, the Shanghai String Quartet, St. Lawrence String Quartet, and the Amelia Trio.

Devoted to music education, Elissa served a number of years as Weber State University String Project’s Master Teacher, in addition to several years spent as a student teacher, and is a recipient of WSU’s Exemplary Collaboration award. She is currently a registered Suzuki violin teacher and, most recently, is the founder and director of Junction City Music School, where she is working with a number of area private teachers to raise the standard of string teaching and student achievement in the Ogden/Weber County area. In addition to a full teaching schedule, she performs frequently in NEXT Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra Ogden, and the Orchestra at Temple Square, and is an adjunct violin professor at Weber State University.
