Eleanor Tagart has been teaching piano for twenty years in New Zealand and the UK. She has studied Suzuki teaching and performance both full time and on intensive short courses in New Zealand, the USA and the UK.
Eleanor is co-founder of Crescendo! Music School. A programme for introducing young children to music and preparing them for instrumental lessons.
After studying at universities in both Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand, Eleanor graduated with a BMus (performance) in 2002. Since then she has been active as a soloist, accompanist, repetiteur, and teacher.
Eleanor has taught at the first-class Suzuki summer camp in Wellington, accompanied for pro-corda cello workshops in the UK, taught for the Junior Guildhall string training programme and currently works in close association with BYMT, a premier music education trust in Bromley.
Eleanor currently plays with the Darwin Piano Trio. Formed in 2012, the trio performs around the UK and is in the process of organising concert tours abroad.
