I have been teaching Suzuki Violin since 1990. I first begin teaching Suzuki Violin in Crofton, Md. under the name of Donna Montgomery. I graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas and begin teaching public school and had a small private studio. I moved to Lawton, Oklahoma for public schools and had a small private studio in my home. The Frontier territory is an interesting place to be. I love it out here.
I have had teachers training from so many teachers that I can not remember all of their names and many of the names have changed, I am sure. Katherine Woods, Mary Kay Neal, Ronda Cole, Judy Offman, John Kendall are some of the names I remember. Ronda Cole was my main trainer.
For the school year of 2012 & 2013, I moved to Harlingen, Texas for another public school assignment for 1 year. It was quite different down in “the valey” because it never gets “cold”. The people in and around Harlingen are wonderful and I have greatly enjoyed my 9 month teaching experience. South Padre Island is great beach. The sand is so soft!!! My grandchildren and I love that beach.
Now I am back home in Lawton, Oklahoma reopening a private studio. My love is teaching private violin/viola lessons. I does feel good to be home!
