Demetria Koninis

Demetria Koninis, cellist, has a Suzuki cello studio in the Saratoga Springs, New York. She teaches students ranging in age from 4 through adults at her home, in Saratoga Springs.

Demetria is a teaching member of The Suzuki Association of the Americas and has completed training in Suzuki books 1-8. She is also a member of The Suzuki Association of the Capital District and American String Teachers Association (ASTA). Her article “Suzuki Summit One Step at a Time” was published in the Suzuki Association of the America’s Journal in fall 2015.

Demetria has also been sharing her love of the cello to help heal people with it’s beautiful sound during her sound therapy sessions and yoga classes.

When Demetria isn’t playing her cello and sharing her joy of music, she enjoys outdoor activities like, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, walking and playing tennis and pickelball.
