Deborah completed her Suzuki teacher training under Rita Hauck, Mary Craig Powell, and Carole Bigler. As an undergraduate she studied piano with Boris Berlin at the University of Toronto, and earned a Masters of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Colorado. Since 1985 she has taught at her Kettering, OH home studio, as well as teaching piano for 16 years at Sinclair Community College. Her students have done well in the Western District Ohio Music Teachers’ Association Buckeye Auditions and the National Federation of Music Clubs junior music festivals. In July, 2015, Deborah performed a charitable benefit concert for an orphanage in India, playing the Beethoven Waldstein Sonata and works by Schubert, Schumann, and Liszt. She is active as a church organist and collaborative pianist in various venues.
