DaNece Lyman comes from a musical family, having taken Suzuki cello lessons from her mother starting at the age of four. She decided to switch to the violin at age 8 after seeing a friend play along on the violin in her cello group class. She began her Suzuki violin journey in Hartsville, SC, studying for two years with Starr Ward, after which her family moved to North Carolina where she continued in the Suzuki method with teacher Wilinda Atchley. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from Brigham Young University in 2016 followed by a Master of Music degree from Boise State University in 2018.

Ms. Lyman completed her training for Suzuki books 1-4 with Edward Kreitman, Sherry Cadow, and Esther Fellows. She has taught all ages from beginning to advanced levels since 2008 and loves being a part of each of her students’ unique musical journeys. She is currently accepting new students in Salt Lake and Utah counties.
