Claire is an active performer and music educator in the city of Montreal. She is currently a member of the Orchestre Fidelio and will also be a member of the 2021 Cohort with the Global Leaders Program in Chile. Claire received a Graduate Diploma in Orchestral Repertoire from the University of Montreal in 2020. She also obtained her Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Performance with an outstanding achievement in flute, from McGill University in 2019. She has had the opportunity to study with some of Canada’s most renown performers and educators and wishes to pass on her knowledge to her students. Claire has performed with several orchestras, bands and chamber ensembles across Canada over the years. She began studying the flute over 18 years ago under the tutelage of David Gerry at the Great Lakes Suzuki Institute. In 2019 Claire attended the ETSU Suzuki Institute with Mr. Takahashi and Laurel Maurer, and is now officially a trained Suzuki Flute teacher. With this extensive training, she is committed to helping her students achieve their personal goals by incorporating a nurturing, exciting, and encouraging environment for them to develop endurance, musical sensitivity and tap into their creative voice. When she is not performing or teaching, Claire is a volunteer for the innovative music therapy program & NGO: Make Music Matter.
