Mr. Christopher Liccardo
Christopher Liccardo is in demand as a clinician throughout the United States. He is a member of the piano faculty at the Lawrence Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College in New York City, and is the founder and coordinator of the Suzuki piano program, which began in 1987. Mr. Liccardo’s students have won numerous awards and prizes in local, state and national competitions. They have been featured in master classes at the Suzuki Association of the Americas national conferences and have performed with orchestra as winners of concerto competitions. At the 2008 SAA conference, two of his students were selected to perform in the Bach Concerto for Four Pianos. Mr. Liccardo was the piano coordinator for the 2004 SAA Conference. He is one of the contributors to the book, 10 Teachers’ Viewpoints on Suzuki Piano. He has recently edited and published two volumes for pianists entitled, Repertoire for the Intermediate Pianist, Volumes A and B. Companion CDs are available and feature Mr. Liccardo and his son, Joseph, a concert pianist and former Suzuki student who was the national winner of the MTNA High School and Collegiate (Young Aritist) competitions.
