Welcome to my violin studio! I look forward to working with your family to provide excellent music instruction. My goals are for each student to develop a love of music; to feel confidence and pride in his or her accomplishments; and to build the skills of lifelong learning that carry over to any endeavor.

I teach students ranging from young beginners to advanced college students and adult enthusiasts. In addition to teaching in my home studio in Long Beach, I am a violin instructor at Chapman University. I also coach chamber music groups and lead orchestra sectionals for organizations such as the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra and school orchestras.

I am a member of the first violin sections of the Pacific Symphony and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the chamber music ensemble Block by Block. I have played in recording orchestras for many films as well as television shows including The Simpsons and Family Guy. I have performed at music festivals in Aspen, Santa Fe, and Costa Rica, and have taught at the San Diego Chamber Music Workshop and Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music.

My education includes a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and a Master of Music degree from Yale School of Music. I have studied violin with Syoko Aki, Linda Cerone, and David Updegraff, and chamber music with the Tokyo, Colorado, and Cavani String Quartets.
