Chloe Helene Groth, violinist, is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Master of Music in Teaching and a Bachelor of Music in Performance. At Oberlin, her primary teachers were Gregory Fulkerson and Marilyn McDonald, and she received additional coaching from Amy Thiaville at Loyola University. Chloe has completed Suzuki Violin Books 1-4 under the guidance of Ronda Cole. While at Oberlin, she held principal positions in the Oberlin Orchestra and Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble, and gave recitals in New York City and Washington, DC as a member of the Isis String Quartet.

Chloe maintains a private violin studio in Menomonee Falls, WI. Previously, she was the Suzuki Department Chair at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, teaching private and group violin lessons. Before beginning her Suzuki training, she taught in public and community music schools in Ohio and Connecticut. In addition to teaching, Chloe is a regular substitute with Festival City Symphony and Wisconsin Philharmonic, and performs for weddings and special events in the Milwaukee area.

Chloe’s goal as an instructor to invest her time, abilities, and heart into nurturing the talent and humanity within each child. She believes violin lessons are also a vehicle for some of the most important skills as human beings: how to connect with another person, to be mindful in the present moment, to listen well, to express oneself, to persevere and problem solve through challenges, to work efficiently, to find joy in challenges, and to deepen our sensitivity to art and to other human beings.
