I have been active in the Suzuki Method since my children began studying Suzuki violin, piano, and flute while we were stationed in Japan. My first training in teaching Suzuki piano was observing my children take lessons from Mrs Aoki. I have continued my education of the method taking SAA courses and Also Piano Basic Courses with Dr. Kataoka until her death. Recently I returned to school by attending SIUE receiving a graduate
certificate of “Piano Pedagogy.” I currently maintain a studio of approximately 45 students. My children are now grown, two with Music Education degrees. I have been blessed with 11 wonderful grandchildren!
