Both violist and violinist, she holds a Bachelor of Viola degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco – UFPE (Brazil). Currently, she is obtaining a musical education degree from the same institution. Mrs Santoro was a member of the UFPE Symphony Orchestra and the “Sonoro Ofício” ensemble, recording a CD with this Baroque chamber music group. Mrs Santoro also made a tour in Peru and Bolivia performing the viola with chamber groups from the Federal University of Acre. Mrs Santoro was a viola finalist of the “National String Competition of Juiz de Fora” (Brazil). She was a violin and music education teacher at the Minami School of Music and works as a micro entrepreneur and musician at Santoro Produções Musicais. In 2013, she played for Pope Francis at World Youth Day on Copacabana Beach. He also performed as a soloist of the UFPE Chamber Orchestra and was a violinist of the Acre Philharmonic Orchestra. She was a violin teacher at the João Pernambuco School of Arts and Espaço da Música (Recife). Mrs Santoro was the winner of a Pibic-CNPq scholarship in order to develop a research about the Mignone’s Viola Sonata. She is currently a violinist of Sinfonieta UFPE and a teacher of violin, viola and musicalization at the BL Music School (Recife).
