Carolyn Tackett is a violinist and registered Suzuki teacher in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She has been teaching violin for over 30 years.
Carolyn began her musical training on the organ at the age of seven and transitioned to violin by the age of ten. She grew up in the Florida West Coast Youth Symphony program in Sarasota, FL under Maestro Paul Wolfe. Pursuing a musical career, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music education with violin performance from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, TN.
Since then, she has played with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, Blue Ridge Orchestra, Brevard Philharmonic, Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra, various chamber groups as well as weekly involvement with her church orchestra. She enjoys many styles of violin playing which she likes to include into her students’ repertoire.
Her goal as a teacher is to instill musical excellence while fostering a lifelong love for music.
