Caroline Rouleau studied at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville Quebec where she received a Bachelor of Arts, Music Honours, with distinction. After her first year, she was the recipient of the Grand Prize of the M. Georgina Mills scholarship. Her teachers have included Geneviève Beaudry, Brigitte Poulin and more recently Grace Hong and Sergei Nikonov. She has performed in master classes with Jamie Parker, Janina Fialkowska and The Alcan String Quartet. She has been holding the position of principal second in the North York Concert Orchestra for nine years now, but also played with other orchestras such as Orchestra Toronto and Kindred Spirits Orchestra and more. She has performed a wide variety of styles from playing Porgy and Bess with the Nassau City Opera Company to playing progressive rock with the Trans- Siberian Orchestra. As an active freelance musician and member of a quartet she continues to cultivate a culture of music in her community. In addition to her music background, she has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa, specializing in Instrumental Music.
