Carolina Borja is a highly qualified cellist and bilingual educator. She is a committed, loving, knowledgeable,creative, passionate artist and Suzuki instructor. Nine years of early childhood and cello teaching experience have allowed her to share her abilities, knowledge and spirit with parents/guardians and students from diverse backgrounds in kindergartens, schools, universities and academies, as well as her private studio.

Ms. Borja is also a versatile freelance cellist that has worked with several symphony orchestras, dance companies, chamber music ensembles, folk fusion bands and interdisciplinary groups of artists in the Americas.

Thanks to a Fulbright scholarship Carolina completed a Master’s degree in Cello Performance Pedagogy at Ohio University. She has also been a Martin Luther King and the United States State Department Fellow, among other distinctions.

Carolina has trained in the Suzuki method with Dorothy and Sharon Jones, Tanya Carey, Barbara Balatero, Carol Tarr, Nancy Hair, Patricia Pasmanter, Melissa Hullman and Caroline Fraser.
