Candace Murphy

Candace Murphy began taking Suzuki violin lessons at the age of four. She holds a Master of Music from Belmont University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Centre College. At Belmont, she studied violin performance and pedagogy with Elisabeth Small, as well as fiddle with Tammy Rogers (Fiddle/Vocals for the Steeldrivers). Candace completed her Suzuki books 1-4 teacher training with Liz Arbus in Claremont, CA. She most recently studied with Richard Schwabe at the Colburn Community School in Los Angeles.

In addition to teaching, she has performed with the Paducah Symphony, La Jolla Symphony, and the Golden State Pops.
