Caitlin Fahey Crow is an artist-teacher with studios in Albuquerque and San Diego. Crow Studios offers instruction in cello, bass, drums, Music Mind Games, live-streaming, Ableton, and the recording arts.

Caitlin began Suzuki pedagogy studies with Tanya Carey in 2009, and completed her SAA registered training in all 10 cello books in June 2015. Additional continuing education includes cello technique enrichment with Shu Yi Scott (2021), Music Mind Games Unit 1 with creator Michiko Yurko (2018) and Suzuki Principals in Action (2015).
Caitlin is the former assistant director for Teacher Development at the San Diego Suzuki Institute, and former cello program director of the San Diego Suzuki School.

Caitlin holds a Bachelor’s degree cum laude in Pre-Medical Studies/Minor in German from the University of New Mexico, and a Master’s degree in Montessori Education from Loyola University Maryland.
Caitlin’s primary teacher is Anne Cole (Albuquerque, NM), with additional support from Yao Zhao (SD Symphony/SDSU), Vivian Barton (Santa Fe Opera Orchestra), Charles Curtis (UCSD), and David Schepps (UNM).

In addition to her duties as CEO of Crow Studios, Caitlin does freelance work in recording, chamber music, and orchestral playing around Southern California and the Southwest. Past engagements include 8 years as principal cellist with the La Jolla Symphony under the baton of Steven Schick and the cellist/vocalist of the avant-garde pop group OrchidxMantis.

Caitlin plays the “La Sirena, Star of the Sea” cello, made by Anne Cole. She frequently collaborates with her husband, drummer/bassist Isaac Crow on their duo project Wife of Bath.
