Mr. Brendan Conroy

Brendan Conroy is a cellist and Suzuki cello teacher in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Born in Australia, he has performed in orchestras, chamber music ensembles and as a recitalist in many countries.

Brendan has an active cello studio in Amsterdam, and he has taught online students since 2011, locally and internationally. His students attend workshops around Europe, as does he as a guest teacher.

As an Instructor for the European Suzuki Association, he has given teacher training in Poland, France, Spain and the UK.

At the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague he studied cello pedagogy and performance with baroque cellist Lucia Swarts, gaining a master’s degree.

He has studied Suzuki pedagogy at all levels in Europe and the Americas with teacher trainers Ruben Rivera, Chantal Latil, Tanya Carey, Nancy Hair, Marianne Vrijland, Carey Cheney, Laura Shaw, Priscilla Jones and Avi Friedlamder.
