A native of San Angelo, Texas, Brandie Phillips began studying the violin at the age of four. A passionate orchestral violinist, she was named the concertmaster of the 2001 National Festival Orchestra where she performed in Carnegie Hall under the baton of Maestro Lukas Foss. She has performed as soloist with such orchestras as the Lynn University Philharmonic Orchestra, the SMU Meadows Symphony Orchestra, the National Repertory Orchestra, and the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra. Other opportunities have allowed her to perform as soloist and orchestral violinist in various venues around the US and Europe.

Brandie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. She earned a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, under the tutelage of recording artist Chee-Yun Kim.

Ms. Phillips is currently the Assistant Concertmaster of The Dallas Opera Orchestra. In addition, she is also frequently performs with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. As an avid motivator of exposing young children to classical music, Brandie maintains a private studio where she teaches students of all ages.
