Beth Vojtisek  began traditional violin studies at the age of 9, and during high school she studied under Conny Kiradjieff at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music.  She played in a masterclass for Eugene Fodor and was the recipient of the Valda Wilkerson String Award. While earning her B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering, she served as Concertmaster of the Purdue Symphony Orchestra. She also holds an M.S. in Engineering from Purdue. She has performed in numerous community orchestras in Ohio and Michigan, as well as in Germany.

Beth became involved with the Suzuki world when her young daughter began to learn the violin in 2006. She completed her apprenticeship of Books 1-8 and the Violin Practicum with Mark Mutter, as well as the Book 1-4 Overview with Ronda Cole, the Simon Fischer Workshop at Phoenix Phest, and Bow Development Enrichment with Cathryn Lee.

Beth previously served as Assistant Director of Suzuki Royal Oak Institute of Music, where she helped coordinate the Camerata Tour Group trip to Finland, Estonia and Russia and led the development of fiddling workshops.  She also enjoys chamber music and playing crossover sets with rock musicians, as well as writing violin arrangements for various performances.  Beth is currently teaching at Suzuki Music Academy of Michigan, where she is committed to Dr. Suzuki’s concept of “Every Child Can”, and delights that each one does so in such a unique and inspirational way!
