Beth Scott has a music degree from Colgate University, a Master’s in Education from SUNY Binghamton, and is a registered Suzuki teacher in both flute (Books 1-2) and violin (Books 1-5). She has also taken the SAA’s “Suzuki Principles in Action” and has earned the SAA Certificate of Achievement, Level 1. Beth has performed with various orchestras and chamber ensembles in Binghamton and western NY over the past 35 years, and is currently a member of Lake Effect Wind Quintet and the Onondaga Civic Symphony Orchestra in Syracuse. A Suzuki teacher for over 15 years, Beth appreciates Suzuki teacher training and other forms of continued teacher enrichment in order to continue refining her teaching skills. She participates in organizing community “Play-Ins” for Suzuki students throughout Central NY, and is an active member of the Central NY Association of Music Teachers. Beth maintains her own private studio for flute and violin students of all ages, giving performances throughout the year at community events and venues.
