Violin, Viola Teacher
Ben Thomason is the Director of the Texas Lutheran University Community Music Academy based in Seguin, Texas. The CMA offers private Suzuki lessons, group Violin and Cello training in nearby public schools through the Lindenbaum Outreach Program, as well as three youth orchestras and a Choral program.
Ben recently relocated to Seguin from West Los Angeles, where he maintained a private Suzuki Violin studio in his home and was Assistant Director of the Suzuki program at the Cornerstone Music Conservatory. Ben began studying the violin at the age of 3 in the Suzuki Strings program of Boulder, Colorado, and earned B.A. and M.M. degrees in Violin Performance from Whitman College and California State Universty at Northridge, respectively. He has performed in the Mid-Texas Symphony, the Santa Monica Symphony, and the Walla Walla Symphony, as well as in various chamber music and solo concerts. However, he recognizes that his greatest privilege is to participate in the education and formation of the next generation of musical, passionate, and sensitive children!
