Benjamin Kulp is active throughout New England as an orchestral and chamber performer. He is a former member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the Miami Symphony Orchestra, and performs regularly in opera, musical, and chamber settings. He founded the Logan Chamber Players, a not-for-profit chamber music orchestra in Chicago dedicated to bringing accessible classical music to local communities. He is the co-owner of Innocenti Strings, a nationwide network of classical music performers. Mr. Kulp completed his M.M. in Performance with Mihai Tetel, his B.M. in Performance with David Carter, and further lessons with Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi and Brant Taylor. Currently, he is working on a year-long recital series of all 6 Bach Solo Cello Suites.
In addition actively performing and freelancing, Mr. Kulp is a passionate and active Suzuki Cello Instructor. He runs www.benkulpmusic.com, and teaches students in Cambridge, MA. He is registered for Every Child Can (Michelle George), Suzuki Cello Book 1 (Dr Beth Cantrell), Suzuki Cello Book 2 (Jean Dexter), Suzuki Cello Book 3 (Tanya Carey). In addition, Mr. Kulp is registered for the Suzuki Principles in Action Course (Mark Mutter), and is a registered teacher for Music Together. Mr. Kulp is very excited to help students and parents learn the principles of Every Child Can, and is enthusiastically joining the Upper Valley Music Center starting in the fall of 2014.
