Becky Johnson is a Wisconsin-born violinist and violist. She received her Bachelor of Music in viola performance from the Oberlin Conservatory, and her Master of Music in Suzuki pedagogy from Ithaca College, where she trained with Carrie Reuning-Hummel. Her other teachers include Peter Slowik, David Quiggle, Yuliya Smead, and Barbara Beechey. Becky has received additional Suzuki training from Sandy Reuning, Kimberly Meier-Sims, Ed Kreitman, and Tom Wermuth.

As an orchestral musician, Becky has performed as a member of The Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, and the National Festival Orchestra at the National Orchestral Institute. An avid chamber music lover, Becky has also performed as a member of the Florestan Quartet and as part of both the Fox River Chamber Festival and Credo Chamber Music Festival. Becky has been teaching for over a decade, and is passionate about gaining more knowledge through further training, observing, and learning from her students. She currently lives in Baltimore with her husband and two cats.
