I have been teaching the Suzuki method for more than 10 years. Beginning at the age of 5, I have had the privilege of studying extensively with Jan Coleman, the late Kent Coleman and the late Erna Soter.
Also, I enjoy teaching Bluegrass music and have participated several years in Wintergrass, a Seattle area Bluegrass festival. During Wintergrass, I instructed in the Wintergrass Youth Academy, and was the Director for Pintgrass, a program for children ages 4-6. Even young children are capable of creating wonderful and inspiring music. Besides teaching, I have enjoyed performing for weddings and social gatherings with a string ensemble, as well as performing music for Taproot Theater as part of their summer production Big River. Music is a wonderful gift that I believe can be developed and nurtured and then shared with others.
